Medical preparation Voltaren has in its composition an active substance Diclofenac, synthesized in contrast to acetylsalicylic acid as an analgesic and anti-inflammatory agent. Until 1966, as the main PVP in medicine, acetylsalicylic acid was used, but its toxicity in prescribing increased doses prompted scientists to start developing new drugs, so the era of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) began. Simultaneously, it was produced by a complex synthesis of 200 analogues of O-aminoacetic acid. In clinical trials, the effectiveness of the drug Diclofenac was recognized as the strongest among all synthesized substances with the lowest number of contraindications.

Features of diseases
Gouty arthritis is a chronic joint disease, presumably hereditary. The disease develops because of the large accumulation of crystals of uric acid in the blood. Excess acid leads to the formation of tofus, and if the disease is not treated, it leads to early disability of the patient. The main problem in the treatment of gout lies in its late diagnosis. In most cases this occurs in the 8-9 year of the disease.
Rheumatoid arthritis is an inflammatory disease of connective tissue that carries a systemic autoimmune character. The final causes of the disease have not been clarified, but indirectly, on the basis of an increased number of leukocytes in the blood during an exacerbation, one can assume its infectious nature. The disease is insidious by complications on the kidneys, causing kidney failure. With incomplete treatment or lack of it, in 71% of cases, inevitable disability of the patient occurs.
Juvenile arthritis is a series of rheumatic diseases that occur in childhood (up to 16 years). A greater percentage of cases are in girls. If the first signs of juvenile arthritis are found, the child should begin immediate treatment, since the disease is fraught with consequences leading to early disability.
The active substance of the drug Diclofenac is capable of causing a number of side effects. Among which the most frequent are observed from the side of the gastrointestinal tract, expressed in attacks of vomiting, unexpectedly rolling up nausea, dispersion or cramping in the abdominal region. There may also be phenomena of flatulence, there have been isolated cases of bleeding from ulcers in the stomach and intestines. Therefore, the drug is contraindicated to ulcers who are diagnosed even in an anamnesis. Sometimes there was a decrease in appetite or a complete lack of it until the onset of anorexia. If the patient has Crohn’s disease, there is a danger of her exacerbation.
On the part of other organs, cases of allergic reactions, itching, dermatological eruptions, allergic purpura were most often described. Individual cases of impaired sensitivity, memory failures, the appearance of nightmares and the development of a depressive state have also been identified.
Rarely there is increase in blood pressure.
Interaction with other drugs
The medical preparation Voltaren strengthens the effectiveness of lithium and digoxin and, when combined with them can increase the concentration of the latter in the blood.
Joint use with additional non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs increases the risk of side effects.
