Description of Lamisil

Forms of release of Lamisil
Medicinal drug Lamisil is presented in several forms, which allows the drug to be applied externally and inward. To date, Lamisil is available in the following forms: gel (dermgel); cream (ointment); spray; lotion (solution); pills.
This drug, which exerts a fungistatic and fungicidal action, belongs to the group of allylamines. The antifungal effect is caused by a decrease in the concentration of the hormone ergosterol, which suppresses the production of stearins in membranes of fungal cells. Active substance Terbinafine has the ability to suppress the action of squalene epoxidase, which leads to mass death of pathogenic cells. The drug Lamisil begins to act quickly: the improvement comes in a few days. You can talk about full recovery in 3-4 weeks after the beginning of treatment. If the severity of clinical symptoms does not change after 1-2 weeks after the start of therapy, it is worthwhile to visit a dermatologist again to re-diagnose and establish the correct diagnosis.
